Course Description

This blended learning course is designed for K-12 educators who serve in roles as teachers, instructional coaches, administrators, or other professional positions with a focus on curriculum and instruction at the campus or district level. Start with the basics to learn a variety of models for implementing blended learning as an instructional strategy in your K-12 classroom. Explore strategies, examples, and resources to develop a blended learning lesson plan aligned to your students’ needs and learning objectives. The participant will differentiate types of blended learning instructional models and identify strategies necessary for success as they design their own blended learning lesson plan to implement in their classroom. Students will successfully engage in a combination of online learning and face-to-face learning in their classroom to foster 21st century skills as they master curriculum objectives.

Required Course Materials

Please visit the Computer Requirements page to view minimum device, internet, and application requirements for all UT High School courses. Generally, a desktop or laptop device five (5) years or newer with access to an office suite, such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, will be adequate to participate in most UTHS courses. 

Course Structure

The course consists of 5 units:

  • Each unit includes a variety of lessons, examples, and exploration activities.
  • There are a total of 8 surveys, quizzes, and graded assignments in the course. 

Course Grade 

For successful completion of the course:  

  • You MUST complete all lessons including surveys, quizzes, and graded-assignments and earn a score of 80% or better on each to earn your certificate of completion for the course.
  • Re-dos may be required if you do not earn an 80% on any of the graded assignments.
  • Quizzes may be taken more than once until you achieve the required score of 80%.
